Teaching, whether face-to-face or online, is a challenging task which demands a lot of planning to meet not only curriculum expectations, but also students’ needs. It is of high importance to provide learners with opportunities to use the language in diverse contexts in collaborative learning environments. The concept of Multiple Intelligences (MI) will be thoroughly taken into account in order to boost high order thinking skills and enhance learning in various domains. Useful tools, resources and ideas will be displayed in this session so that teachers are able to implement tasks that cater for students´ different learning styles.

Presenter’s biodata

Silvana Calzia has graduated as a teacher of English from ISFD N°129, Junín, and she holds a bachelor degree in Teaching English (CAECE University) She has been doing research on Multiple Intelligences and she is a materials designer. Silvana has completed a postgraduate course in Neuroscience (Asociación Educar and UAI) and is currently doing a specialization in New Technologies (FLACSO University).  Silvana was a TEFL teaching assistant for two years at ISFD 129, where she also taught Didactics and Methodology. She is a member of APRIR, and takes part in the History and Culture SIG from APIBA.  Silvana has been teaching English for more than 15 years. She is currently teaching adolescents and adults, in different institutions including UNNOBA (Universidad Nacional del Noroeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires)
