In these four sessions we are going to explore some features of Jorge Luis Borges’ work by reading a selection of his most well-known short stories.
- 17/10 – Into the Borgesian Labyrinth I: Ways of readings: Pierre Menard and Tema del Traidor y del Héroe.
- 31/10 – Into the Borgesian Labyrinth II: Beyond the Fantastic: Indeterminacy and the fold: El Sur.
- 14/11 – Into the Borgesian Labyrinth III: The detective short story: La Muerte y la Brújula.
- 28/11 – Into the Borgesian Labyrinth IV: The body as an alibi: Emma Zunz (bonus: Erik Grieg by Martín Kohan).
How we are going to work:
The stories will be read in their original language, but the meetings and the discussions will be carried out in English.
The stories will be sent by e-mail prior to the meeting, with enough time for you to read them.
How much does it cost?
For APRIR members: $350 each session. One advance payment for all four sessions: $1200
For non-members: $500 each session. One advance payment for all four sessions: $1800
