Teaching K.I.D.S.

By Patricia Zorio

Teaching children can be immensely rewarding. However, it is not just “fun and games” all the time and, sometimes, it is not an easy task to undertake. English teachers who wish to teach children must be aware of the difficulties they may encounter and be ready to embrace the challenge. The most recent approaches to education are focusing on developing responsible, emotionally intelligent children with the ability to develop healthy relationships and succeed through the ups and downs of life.

The acronym K.I.D.S stands for Kinesthetic Learning, Inquiry-based Learning, Differentiated Instruction and Social and Emotional Learning. This workshop will explore these methodological theories so as to create a stress-free environment where young students can learn about themselves and others and start shaping their future.
